Loon Lake Resort is an Ontario Private Campground located near Madoc, Ontario in the Hastings County area close to the Ottawa Valley tourism region. The resort is a peaceful getaway nestled in the scenic countryside of Eastern Ontario. Surrounded by lush forests and set along the shores of a tranquil lake, the resort offers a perfect escape for those looking to experience the beauty of nature in a serene and welcoming environment.
Whether guests are seeking a quiet retreat or an active outdoor adventure, Loon Lake Resort provides a variety of options to suit every preference. The Park is close to ATV trails, walking & hiking trails as well as our own private beach on the lake. The RV and tent sites are spacious and well-maintained, offering both serviced and unserviced options to cater to different needs.
Our social calendar is open to all guests, with many separate kid activities so there is fun for all.
Our Story
The Heart Behind the Resort
Over 25 years ago, the campers became the owners of Loon Lake Resort. Since then, Loon Lake has grown into a beloved destination for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. What began as a simple lakeside retreat has evolved into a vibrant, close-knit community of seasonal guests and weekend explorers. Today, the Park Board is made up of dedicated volunteers who are also shareholders in the resort, and all social activities are organized and run by camper volunteers—adding to the strong sense of connection that defines life at Loon Lake. With a passion for nature and a commitment to hospitality, the resort continues to grow—offering unforgettable experiences under the stars, on the trails, and along the shoreline. Whether it’s roasting marshmallows by the fire or watching the sunrise over the lake, every visit adds a new chapter to the story of Loon Lake.
